I know professional photography is an investment. And you know why? Because I love you! No, really! Let me explain – I want to be around for a long time, and the only way for me to have a sustainable business model, the only way I can continue to document your family as it grows bigger and older, is to make sure I can support myself and my son through this sweet & humble business of mine. That is the first part of the answer. The second part is this: the time I spend photographing – whether it’s a 1/2 hour mini session or a 4 hour newborn shoot, is only the beginning of my work for you. After our shoot I have a meticulous editing process, where I cull out the best of the best for you. Those best are raw files – which, just as it implies, are unfinished. Raw files need color tweaking, small airbrushing (blemishes, a stray hair, a scratch from those newborn razor nails), sometimes cropping, and finally, any artistic and creative finishes I may choose to add. And, because Willow Baby Studios is my full-time business, I have many related expenses including taxes, health insurance, editing software, client management subscriptions, marketing, and equipment purchases!
I’m a woman and my wife and I are expecting a baby. How do you feel about that?
Super psyched! I’d love the opportunity to photograph your growing family. Double-momma families, two-dad families, single parents, anyone, anywhere on the parenting spectrum – LGBTQ included – would be my pleasure to photograph.

How do I find out when the next mini sessions will be?
Email me and ask me to add you to my mailing list. You’ll be among the first to know when I announce new session dates! (First to know means most likely to get the time slot of your choice!)
I don’t know what to wear! Will you pick out my clothes for me?
What if my baby pees or (gasp!) poos on your props? Are you going to hate me?
Um, no. I totally expect that your newbie will do such a thing – this is considered one of the hazards of my job 🙂 Let’s just say I always do laundry after every shoot, and if I don’t have to do the extra scrubbing, it’s a nice bonus!
