Awaiting Baby Girl || Boston Family Photography

See this duo here? All glow-y and excited about their baby girl on the way? Well, this sweet and calm moment was hard won, because actually, this momma and daddy are already well established in their roles.Meet their two boys: Austin and Cam. I first met this lovely family when Cam was just a teeny newborn! I've had the opportunity to photograph them many times over the past few years. And now, I am also excitedly waiting for their baby sister to arrive in just a couple of months!Here's momma with her first baby: this was another hard-won photo... Austin was feeling quite goofy and excited about going to his friend's birthday party after the photo shoot, and was having a hard time staying still for long.Whereas little brother Cam hurt his foot earlier in the day and bravely (if not a bit hesitantly) took part in the photos anyway. Pig piling on momma? Great fun. Bouncing around on daddy's shoulders? Super.And continuing to wait for more photos to be taken when a certain someone just wanted to head to the party? Not Austin's first choice.... Luckily for him, this was the last photo of the session, and he perked right up - all ready for the day's celebration.So excited for the next big celebration in September! Can't wait for your newest family member to arrive soon!

Momma-in-waiting||Arlington, MA Maternity Photography

After all, you’re the only one who knows the sound of my heart from the inside.”  ― Kristen Proby The magic of growing a person never fails to astound me. Yet another reason I feel so blessed to be a photographer - capturing growing bellies, and then tiny toes and delicate lashes.... Recently I got to meet the stunning momma above. She has next to her bed a small figurine of St. Anthony, the Patron Saint of Miracles - which I find pretty profound. She just radiates happiness and excitement as she awaits her little boy, the already beloved Baby R. The gorgeous and sweet Momma C is on the cusp of 30 weeks. (And yes, I'm also counting down till her little boy arrives, as I'll have the honor of being his first photographer:-) She is Peruvian, and her husband is French, and so their son will have the gift of being part of a trilingual family.I love imagining Baby R later in life, looking back at these photos of his parents and seeing how happy and excited they were to welcome him, and start their family.

Baby on the Way!||Beacon Hill Maternity Photographs

A radiant momma indeed! Gorgeous Lauren braved the Boston Common on a most busy fall Saturday afternoon in her flowy maternity dress - a bit more sheer than she would have liked...

...but I think we can all agree that she not only pulled it off but she completely rocked it!

Hubby Shane's excitement and pride over his beautiful wife and her amazing growing belly was very touching to witness indeed. He was clearly in awe of her :-)

While I know I'll have the honor of photographing their little one when she's born, baby's name will remain a secret until then. I caught these smiles below after asking them about potential names the other suggested that they had to veto.

To Lauren, Shane, and sweet Baby Girl - I can't wait to see you all again in a few month's time!

Beautiful Belly! || Newton,MA Maternity Photos

Her dress was from my dreams!  Literally! The night before Momma K's maternity session, I dreamed of her in a beautiful grey, flowy gown. When she showed me her options for her outfit, she pulled out, well.... what you see her in below.  Not to be too cheesy, but this was basically a dream session.... between the perfect summer evening light and the enthusiastic attitude of my gorgeous subject, I couldn't be more excited to show you this Momma and her beautiful belly, in all it's growing glory! It ended up making sense to take her photos a little earlier than I normally recommend for maternity shots, but between this being her second little one (and all mommas of more than one know how much faster your body takes on the look of pregnancy 2nd time around!!!) and her willingness to push her belly out a bit for the laying down shot, I'd say we made it work quite well. This last one doesn't show her belly, but she looks too beautiful here not to share...Momma K - I'm so happy and excited for you and your growing family! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture this time in your family's story!
