Cake is good. Especially in shortalls. ESPECIALLY outside.
Read moreBeautiful Belly! || Newton,MA Maternity Photos
Her dress was from my dreams! Literally! The night before Momma K's maternity session, I dreamed of her in a beautiful grey, flowy gown. When she showed me her options for her outfit, she pulled out, well.... what you see her in below. Not to be too cheesy, but this was basically a dream session.... between the perfect summer evening light and the enthusiastic attitude of my gorgeous subject, I couldn't be more excited to show you this Momma and her beautiful belly, in all it's growing glory! It ended up making sense to take her photos a little earlier than I normally recommend for maternity shots, but between this being her second little one (and all mommas of more than one know how much faster your body takes on the look of pregnancy 2nd time around!!!) and her willingness to push her belly out a bit for the laying down shot, I'd say we made it work quite well. This last one doesn't show her belly, but she looks too beautiful here not to share...Momma K - I'm so happy and excited for you and your growing family! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture this time in your family's story!
Henry & Nora Turn One!||Bedford, Ma Family Photography
In honor of Henry & Nora turning one, their Momma wanted to have a family photo session. Despite it being one of the most humid days of the summer, we had a wonderful time eliciting smiles out of these two little explorers! Daddy needed little encouragement to kiss his lovely wife! (who claimed she knew little about fashion and then put together a wonderful wardrobe for her family!) Here's Momma with her little girl - such snuggly love!Daddy, who stays at home on kiddo duty, has quite the calming effect on his littles. (And despite the fact that we were about to wrap up the session, and Henry and Nora were both feeling rather done, Momma got some cute little smiles out of them, dancing or goofing off behind me.)Kisses clearly had to be returned, which, again, needed little encouragement :-)Lastly, Henry, in a final burst of energy, wanted to end the session with high flying antics and huge smiles!Happy Birthday, Nora & Henry! Here's to another great year!! I had such a great time meeting all of you!
Sam Turns One!! || Milton, Ma Family Photography
Meet Sam:He's quite the go-getter, walking around on his own already. And while he may still welcome a little help with slide prep, life is pretty great for this little guy.Especially with these two awesome mommies, who seriously know how to throw a party!
Personalized all-stars for each of Sam's little buddies and this gorgeous Dr. Seuss cake........ which is, of course, in honor of Sam's first birthday! First birthday means first cake! Ready for it?What began as tentative exploration by a daper gentleman in a bowtie soon became a total immersion into the world of sugary goodness!Yay for Sam! Yay for cake!!!
And of course, there's really only one thing to do after that kind of interaction with one's cake....After bath time and making his rounds of goodbyes, it was time for the birthday boy to sleep off some of the sugar. (Little did he know that while he was sleeping, his mommies were getting a head start on some of the present unwrapping.)Happy Birthday, Sam!! Thanks for inviting me to your party!
Phil & Joanna||Boston Photographer Travels
A few weeks ago I found myself in a stunningly beautiful place - right next to the water, Spanish moss hanging everywhere, and a gathering of people filled with so much warmth and love. I was at Phil & Joanna's wedding, in Mandeville, just a short drive out of New Orleans. At the summons of one of my favorite people, I had the immense honor of being Phil & Joanna's wedding photographer. I felt blessed to be given such a remarkably beautiful union to photograph. Thank you for having me, you two!
Camille Turns One! ||Boston Family Photographer
Just twelve short months ago......
...six months later....
.... and today....
The darling Miss Camille, now one whole year old!!!
Since Camille's momma chose to go with the First Year Package, I've had a chance to get to know their whole family over the past year. It's been so much fun hanging out with them, watching Camille and big sister Leona get bigger and more interactive with one another, basically having photographic playdates every 6 months! Camille's First Birthday session was no exception, filled with lots of sing alongs, multiple outfit changes, numerous snack breaks for the models, and of course, a visit to the Boston Ducklings.
It's been such a pleasure getting to know you all! Enjoy the rest of the summer!!
The Stunningly Beautiful Bear |Boston Headshot Photographer Travels
I still have a card she gave me when we first met, almost 10 years ago, pressed in the pages of my then-current journal. The front boasted a photo of a chicken, and inside, in penmanship that would become as familiar and recognizable as any I could know (she is a generous letter writer and fellow fan of using the USPS), an e.e. cummings poem that remains one of my favorites to this day. She appeared in my college life as Hurricane Katrina devastated her city, and halted her Louisiana art school education. Many colleges around the US were opening doors to displaced students, and my beloved Mass Art got her:
The amazing Bear Hebert, last name pronounced the French way, so her name is absurdly fun to say.
When she changed her first name to Bear for numerous reasons, one of them was for the sheer delight of it. So, this is my Bear, who first inspired my creative growth during long nights of darkroom printing, and intense discussions of photography during class and afterwards, explaining passionately and eloquently about the many feelings evoked within her by any given piece of art. Together we attended a big art opening at the MFA, snuck in by a favorite professor, and stood in awe before six and eight foot photographs. We simultaneously cried at the encompassed beauty and destruction in these particular photos, and also were giddy with excitement to be part of such a night in the world of fine art photography.
Over the years, I have turned to her to help process - and also to gain wisdom about- so many of my most important things: spiritual musings, the struggle to create art in the face of fear and doubt, grieving the deaths of loved ones, and the loss of friendships ended, growing up poor and continuing to have a complex relationship to money, the pain and magic of romantic relationships, the stresses of parenting, and somehow, miraculously, continuing to love and frequently find joy though it all.
Today, she continues to create: stunning costumes for theater productions, essential connections and safe spaces for LGBTQ youth, nourishing and inspired food for those around her, healthy minds and bodies as a yoga teacher, and a community of big, deep, friendships.
Thank you for all of the things, Bear - this was such an honor.
Ethan & Noah - Smiley Six Month Olds! || Cambridge, MA, Twin Baby Photography
Remember these two cuties? Just six months ago Ethan & Noah could been seen looking like this.
And now, Misters Ethan, rocking the green dino overalls here, and Noah, with the anchors (his parents kindly told me to "think of Noah on the arc" to help save my sanity during the shoot!) are 6 months cuter, gigglier, chunkier and more adored by mommy & daddy.
Here's a few of the many faces of Ethan: And Noah....
Watching the brothers interact was pretty entertaining, and quite sweet. Their dad told me that for a long time, he would just find them holding hands. Apparently they don't do it as much lately, but they were happy to indulge us when we asked really nicely.
My morning with this family was a pretty big bundle of sweetness, interspersed with one bottle, a few mini naps, a whole ton of giggles, and lots of baby airplanes.
I love this last shot of them, and I imagine Ethan saying, "Noah! What was your favorite part of the shoot? Wait, never mind, I think I'm going to teethe on your face!"

Likely the most vital aspect that is sometimes considered while thinking about http://spyapps.org/ is find a right software. A highly complex choice that someone can make is between various types of smartphone spy apps. Several of companies describe their software as Mobile Spy Reviews. Also, consider "spy app". Ordering the software can be challenging in this market. Happily, there are some of companies for you to opt where to purchase cellphone spying applications. Undoubtedly, the list is very big. Lastly, there are many reputable companies offering cellular phone spying applications to their clients.
Robin's First Birthday||Andover,MA Baby Photography
Baby Robin was not just slightly offended by cake, she was horribly, achingly, devastatingly saddened (in the cutest, most over-the-top way) by the beautiful cake intended all for her.....but first, let me back up to the many magical moments at the start of her 1st birthday session.....
To start with, let me present Robin's classic "Baby on a Summer Day" picture perfect moment.
Next, I have for you "Robin and Wooden Crate Fun Times"....
Then, of course, time for a "Momma Snuggle Break"....
What would be next, you may ask? A Birthday Tutu, of course!!!
Until that aforementioned cake made its dastardly appearance....And that, my friends, is how you let everyone know that the photo shoot is over.
Happy Birthday Robin! May future cakes please you more!!
