Grandma and Her Girls

Ahhhh, Grandma is in town, visiting from Canada.  And when your grandma is this grandma, that means all of the best things: snuggles, puzzles, and a photo shoot to capture a bunch of these moments to enjoy for years to come!  Grandma here is so warm and inviting, so sweet and fun-loving, that I was calling her Grandma before our shoot ended!  (Per her most sincere instruction, I might add.) Meet Alexander, a 17 day old bundle of sweetness in this sunlight filled home.  His mom speaks Italian, his dad, Science.  His mom is, I think, the first woman I've photographed who had a smooth pregnancy and straight-forward, uncomplicated, delivery.  This gives me so much hope that it can happen!  Her adoring husband was fully aware of these blessings, and couldn't stop saying sweet and loving things about his wife and new son.   Such a joy to meet this brand new family - a perfect way to wrap up 2012.  Congratulations, you three, and Happy New Year!

Camden, Part II

Back with Little Camden again, 16 days old at our second photo shoot attempt.  This guy was named for Camden, ME, where his mum* and dad got engaged.  I will take a moment for the requisite "awwwws" (um, yeah, his parents are seriously sweet and romantic). And now,  I happily share with you some photos that were very, very much worked for, by all grown-ups involved.  Yay! We did it!

Look at this cutie!  Sweet Madeline, near three months old, is just a bundle of smiles for her doting mom and dad.  She also rocks a Christmas hat like a champ! Smiling Baby: Jacob!

I had so much fun meeting this sweet, smiley little guy last weekend!  10 day old Jacob preferred sleeping only a bit over smiling, it seemed! His mom had been oh-so-excited about getting some photos for upcoming holiday cards, and we had a great time trying different Christmasy and winter themed hats on him.  He was quite a sport about the entire process, as you can see.

Last weekend found me in Maine, amid gorgeous colored leaves, an adventuresome new set of parents, and adorable little Samuel, ready to snooze through almost anything!  At 11 days old, Samuel was content as can be snuggled up in some blankets - he obliged us by sleeping through Basket in the Backyard, Suitcases at the Edge of the Woods, and, quite notably, his First Motorcycle Ride.
