On a super-hot day last week, I got to meet sweet little Madelyn, her big brother Benjamin, and her lovely and understandably tired parents.  During our hybrid newborn-family photo session we adventured out into the heat, wandering nearby trails, exploring, and playing in the grass.  Despite the heat, and the fact that we were working on capturing photos of two under two, everyone was an excellent sport!  A big congratulations to this growing family!!!

Three Generations, Plus Dad

Sweet little Ayaan, new baby of a big, vibrant family.  Two older siblings all ready to welcome him and show him the joys and mischief of childhood.  Beautiful colors all around him, doting momma and grandmomma nearby - this baby boy surrounded by love and family.  Welcome, Ayaan!

In Honor of Holly Ward

My dearest friends, Stu & Jill said goodbye to their sweet little girl Holly this past Monday. She died peacefully in Stu's arms, with Jill right by her side. Watching my friends parent Holly has been the most remarkable experience - their tremendous love, gratitude, and supreme grace with which they surrounded her is nothing short of astonishing. Not to mention the humor and ability to laugh in the face of the pain. So much laughter was showered on Holly, so much joy, and I truly believe Holly knew her world to be a most beautiful one indeed. Holly profoundly changed so many lives during her short one - reminding all of us who knew her of the power of simple, pure, love.
